The Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Commanders will square off in a fierce Week 10 matchup in Landover, Maryland. It should be one of the most competitive games of the week because both clubs have only suffered two losses.
It looks like a slobberknocker, so who will win? My predictions for Week 10 are as follows:
Players on the spot: If the Steelers wish to slow down the dynamic in this game, their pass rush will be crucial.Daniels Jayden. The Steelers have given up the fewest yards off scrambles in the NFL this season, while Daniels has the most scramble yards of any quarterback. Pittsburgh’s ability to compress pockets around quarterbacks has always been strong. This season, they also lead in EPA/Play against the quarterback run.
Preston Smith’s debut and Nick Herbig’s anticipated comeback should keep Alex Highsmith and T.J. Watt fresh enough to keep integrity on the edge. This week, the Steelers’ pass rush rotation is strong enough to challenge the Commanders. That is beyond question. But the Steelers might be in big trouble if Daniels can run about and scramble.
You shouldn’t be shocked if…The Commander’s defense can be overrun by the Steelers. Washington has a strong linebacking tandem in Bobby Wagner and Frankie Luvu, but their front seven is a little soft. Although they have made some progress, they are still ranked 30th in terms of the running success rate allowed, and the Giants were able to run the ball on them whenever they wanted.
It wouldn’t be shocking to see the Steelers maintain Najee Harris’ three-game streak of 100 yards. However, this does not imply that the Steelers would convert every drive in which they have the opportunity to run the ball into a touchdown. Pittsburgh has had trouble getting the ball into the end zone once they enter it because the Commanders have a strict red zone defense.

PREDICTION: The teams in this game replicate many of each other’s vulnerabilities. But in this matchup, George Pickens is outstanding. Since Russell Wilson took over as quarterback, the Steelers have hit nine explosive plays, and the Commanders have also battled immensely against play action throws.
I think both of these teams will move the ball well, even though they both have trouble in the red zone. On the ground, though, the Steelers can dominate this game since they have the NFL’s greatest red zone defense.
