According to the research, Pennsylvania has excellent ratings for pediatric care, safety, and public education, making it a great place to raise a family. At 96%, it has the second-highest public high school graduation rate in the nation, placing it sixth in public education.
Children in Pennsylvania have sufficient access to healthcare, as the state has 147 pediatricians per 100,000 children, placing it in the top 10 for pediatricians. $1.11 billion more is allocated to K–12 public education in Pennsylvania under Governor Josh Shapiro’s 2024–25 budget, with an emphasis on equitable distribution and improvements to special education.
Maine was ranked as the second-best place to raise a family, while Vermont was ranked top. The latter was especially renowned for its appealing features related to quality of life, like its clean air.
According to the survey, many families are reevaluating their priorities when moving or choosing a new place to live in the United States due to the country’s shifting political landscape.
As parents look for places that cater to their family’ particular requirements and challenges, concerns about education, safety, and health care are influencing these educational decisions.
