INDIANAPOLISPenn State standout Tyler Warren caught a pass in the first quarter of the Big Ten championship game against Oregon at Lucas Oil Stadium, adding 1,000 yards to the Nittany Lions’ receiving total.

For a 1,000-yard season, Warren needed 22 receiving yards going into the game.

In the first quarter against the Ducks, he got there on a 28-yard catch.

Warren has 81 receptions for 978 yards going into the contest. Before his 28-yard catch put him over 1,000 yards, PSU quarterback Drew Allart completed two passes to Warren for 20 yards. After the first quarter, Warren had 1,026 yards.

Warren, a 6-6, 261-pound tight end, is only the sixth Penn State player to reach 1,000 yards in a season and the first to have a 1,000-yard season.
