Pat Denisco led the Crusaders with 31 points, including seven 3-pointers.
For McDevitt, Jadus Byrd (13), Ethan Hammer (12), and Max Henderson (10) all scored in double figures.
Despite an outstanding performance by the Rockets’ Drew Crouse, who scored 38 points in the defeat, the club managed to escape.
Three more players for JB reached double figures: Jayden Rineer and Avery Hofferditz each scored ten points, and Nate Miller scored thirteen.
