Sen. John Fetterman (D., Pa.) joined President-elect Donald Trump’s social media account, Truth Social, on Tuesday. His first task there was to demand that Trump be pardoned for his hush money case in New York.

Fetterman stated in his first Truth Social post on Tuesday night that pardons are justified and that the Trump hush money and Hunter Biden cases were both (crap).

Another illustration of Fetterman’s trademark bluntness and propensity to deviate from party lines is his inclusion on the platform, which provides infrequent glimpses of bipartisanship in Washington, D.C. Fetterman has stated his admiration for entrepreneur Elon Musk, a fervent Trump supporter, and his support for several of Trump’s choices for the next administration since Election Day.

during Trump’s exclusion from a number of popular platforms, including as Facebook and Twitter, during the Jan. 6 uprising at the US Capitol, Truth Social was established in early 2022. Numerous conservative public leaders and authorities have social media accounts on the platform.

A request for comment on Wednesday was not answered by Fetterman’s representative.

In response to a headline from an MSNBC story on Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s response to Trump’s smotion to dismiss the hush money case, Fetterman added in the Truth Social post that “weaponizing the judiciary for blatant, partisan gain diminishes the collective faith in our institutions and sows further division.”

A Manhattan jury convicted Trump in May of fabricating financial records to conceal a plot related to the 2016 presidential race.

In an attempt to meet people where they are, Fetterman created a personal account on Bluesky, which many people have lately joined as an alternative to Musk’s X following his involvement in Trump’s campaign, in addition to Truth Social, he stated on Tuesday. In November, Fetterman had set up a business account on Bluesky.

In spite of his dissatisfaction with social media on Wednesday, especially in connection with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson and the subsequent arrest of suspect Luigi Mangione in Pennsylvania, the senator has embraced these channels.

The (expletive) who will die in prison is him. In part, Fetterman told NBC News on Wednesday, “Congratulations if you want to celebrate that.” It’s a sewage to sewer. This is the purpose of social media. And given that these trolls are expressing themselves anonymously, I’m not sure why the media wants to make it into a story. I’m not sure why it is considered news. Recall that he will be raising two children without their father. It’s disgusting.
