Is everyone in Western Pennsylvania prepared for their close-up?

As it films its fourth season in the area, a popular series is seeking extras.

The producers of Mayor of Kingston are reportedly seeking men, babies, and young hockey players to feature in the show when it returns to Pittsburgh this month. This information was reported by CBS Local Pittsburgh.

This story and others that are significant to Pennsylvania can be heard on the daily Today in Pa. podcast, which is available below:

The agency is seeking people who haven’t worked on the show yet and who can work several days between now and May, according to the same CBS Local Pittsburgh piece. More details are available on the Movie Casting PGH Facebook page for those who are interested.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, the Paramount+ series, which stars Jeremy Renner, is a crime thriller that tackles a significant modern issue: the American prison system.

“The crime thriller series offers a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither,” the description reads. “Mayor of Kingstown” centers on the McLusky family in Kingstown, Michigan, where the only thriving industry is the incarceration industry. The family of power brokers between police, criminals, inmates, prison guards, and politicians tackle themes of systemic racism, corruption, and inequality.”

According to the Pennsylvania Film Office, the show’s production has generated over $90 million for the local economy and more than 3,000 employment, as stated in a separate CBS Local Pittsburgh piece.

Mayor of Kingstown is available to stream on Hulu or Paramount+.
