In a few months, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) will see more nonstop flights.
Those who want to travel south of the border will have daily options to choose from come spring.
Aerom xico is now one of the airline partners of Philadelphia International Airport, according to a press release issued by the airport this week. This implies that nonstop, daily flights between Mexico City and the City of Brotherly Love will be available starting on June 5.
According to the announcement, since 2014, aviation traffic between the airport and Mexico has grown by 8.3 percent per year, and since the epidemic, it has surged by 50 percent. Additionally, it states that about 187,000 people with Mexican heritage reside in the Philadelphia area.
According to the statement, PHL CEO Atif Saeed remarked, “This is exciting news for the Philadelphia region and continues to expand our global connectivity.” It not only links Philadelphia’s corporate community, families, and vacationers to the second-biggest metropolis in the Western Hemisphere, but it also connects us to another premier location for history, culture, and food.
Anyone who had to fly to Mexico City before this notice had to begin their trip at another airport or make a stopover en route. Our customers can take nonstop flights from their home airport, PHL, thanks to Aerom xico.
Jose Zapata, Vice President of Sales for the U.S., Canada, and Latin America at Aerom xico, said, “We started this year with very good news because this new route that will connect Philadelphia with Mexico City will strengthen our position and recent success in the Northeastern US with the addition of Boston, Newark, and Washington D.C. in 2024.”
