PennDOT and county 911 dispatchers reported that at least one ramp in Dauphin County was closed Tuesday evening due to an overturned tractor-trailer near the intersection of Interstate 81 and Interstate 83.

At least one tractor-trailer and another vehicle were involved in the collision, which happened in Lower Paxton Township shortly before 5 p.m. on the ramp leading from I-81 South to I-83 South.

PennDOT and county 911 dispatchers reported that 2×4 lumber fragments were strewn all over the ramp. As of 5:15 p.m., there are no closures on I-83, although the ramp was closed just after 5 p.m.

It’s unknown if the collision resulted in any trapping or injuries. The incident was expected to end by 8 p.m., according to PennDOT.
