Here we are: College football’s conference championship week is upon us.

Penn State is playing host to undefeated Oregon in the Big Ten. After Ohio State lost to Michigan in Week 14, Penn State found themselves in this matchup. The Ducks are the home favorite by 3.5 points.

I’ll go over the game’s two plotlines, the odds at the best sportsbooks, and more below.

Can Oregon slow the Penn State rushing attack?

This season, the Oregon Ducks’ defense has proven to be strong. They give up 16.4 points (ninth) and 171.8 passing yards (seventh) per game.

They are weakest against the run, though.

With 118.2 running yards allowed, the Ducks are ranked 23rd. When you look at it nationally, this is still a decent grade, but when it comes to these last strong teams, like Penn State, they will want to take advantage of it.

Penn State’s rushing yards per game average close to 200. Running backs Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen provide the production. Beau Pribula, the backup quarterback, and Tyler Warren, the tight end, are also involved.

Penn State will run out of time and win in an unexpected fashion if Oregon is unable to stop this rushing attack.

Penn State vs. Oregon odds

Penn State is 11-1 and 6-6 against the spread as the conference title game draws near. Oregon, meanwhile, is 6-6 against the spread and 12-0.

Indeed, it will be a close game.

Dillon Gabriel is an excellent quarterback for Oregon, but can they overcome Penn State’s defense?

Can Oregon crack Penn State s defense?

Penn State’s defense has been outstanding going into the conference championship game.

With an average of only 266.9 yards (fourth), 97.2 running yards (sixth), 169.8 rushing yards (seventh), and 14 points (fourth) per game, opponents have had difficulty moving the ball.

Earlier in the season, Oregon scored 32 points against Ohio State, which is probably an even superior defense, while Ohio State only managed to score 20 points against Penn State.

Oregon has an advantage in this game, but they will have to contend with two players: cornerback A.J. Harris and edge rusher Abdul Carter.

This season, Harris has only given up 17 receptions for 163 yards and one touchdown. In addition, he has three pass breakups and has intercepted a ball.

The dominance of Penn State’s defense in the second half is especially noteworthy.

Penn State has the second-lowest second-half scoring average in the country, giving up only 4.6 points per game.

Penn State vs. Oregon betting

Player props are one of the most entertaining methods to bet in Pennsylvania betting. Regretfully, none were accessible during this preview.

When props become available, I would concentrate on Penn State’s rushing yards.

Penn State vs. Oregon prediction

The outcome of this game is very up in the air. Their rushing offense should be able to cause some damage here, and Penn State’s defense has been outstanding.

Allar averaged nearly 10 yards per attempt and completed more than 77% of his throws when kept clean in the pocket.

Prepare yourself for games like Penn State and Ohio State, which have lower scores.

At +3.5, Penn State will perform well enough here to cover on the road.
