Washington (AP) According to a spokesperson, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was injured during an official engagement in Luxembourg and is now in the hospital.
To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge during World War II, Pelosi, then eighty-four, traveled to Europe. Ian Krager, her spokesperson, stated in a statement that she is unable to attend the remaining activities on her tour since she is currently receiving outstanding treatment from doctors and medical professionals.
He provided no further information, nor did he explain the severity of her injury.
Krager stated that Pelosi is eager to get back to the United States quickly.
Two years after leaving her position as leader, Pelosi continued to serve in Congress and was re-elected in November to represent her seat in San Francisco.
