Harris had to go out of bounds and leave the game after catching a screen ball as the Steelers drove in the first quarter. He never entered the medical tent, but he would not be seen again on the field for two drives. One could attribute his absence to fatigue or a small injury, but the true cause was wild.
Harris claimed that when he went to Pat Freiermuth’s house for Thanksgiving, his girlfriend Jillian made some fire bananas, which upset him. Harris was OK after a few oranges and rest.
“Gratefulness. Harris claimed that Jill, Pat’s [Freiermuth’s] girlfriend, built this fire banana thing. I also had too much. I blame her since I suppose I didn’t realize it affected me until that first drive. I was fine after consuming some oranges.
Neither sideline reported any other absences linked to Thanksgiving. Harris led the Steelers to victory. He led the offense to a 44-38 victory with 129 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown in 22 touches.
Each player was able to feed off the others thanks to the great rotation that Harris and the running backs established. The running backs had more than 130 receiving yards in the first half of the game and more than 150 overall. That took into account Harris’s donations, and as the effects of his Thursday night feast subsided, he donated more.
