Coach: Gish, Anthony

The Buzz: This season, Gish, a rookie coach, assumes leadership of the Rollers wrestling program.

The Buzz: Hanna will want to surpass its previous season’s win total.

7. Pennsboro’s East
Michael Kramer, coach
Last year: September 14
Important wrestlers: Lucas White, Fr. (160/172), Cassius Comp. Fr. (152/160), and Raja Adam, Jr. (107).
The Buzz: The Panthers will remain competitive in the majority of duals because they have a number of freshmen joining the roster this season to fill in gaps.

6. Hershey, Milton
Jimmy Taylor is the coach.
6–12 last year
Important wrestlers: Tristan Jayree, Jr. (189), Dayvair Hancock, Sr. (215), Will Olson, Sr. (114), Joel Bailey, Jr. (180), Paris Jackson, Fr. (285), Isaiah Hart, So (126), and Saleem Lucas, So (285).
The Buzz: With 39 wrestlers now in the high school program, the Spartans will try to reverse their 24-year losing streak. Olson just had a 20-win junior season.

5. The town of Middletown
Coach: Decker, Seth
11–12 last year
Important wrestlers include Gabriel Rivera, Jr. (107), Cyrus Villarrial, Jr. (114), Geno Corradi, Sr. (139), Josh Tlumach, Sr., Adrian Corradi, Sr. (152), and Joseph Gassert, Sr. (215/285).
The Buzz: A number of freshmen will join a strong corps of seniors and juniors. After 25 victories and a state qualifier, Gassert is back for his senior season. Tlumach won 25 fights as well.

4. Harrisburg
Coach: Dom Commodore
Last year: 11–3
The following wrestlers were important: Tyrone Norris, Sr. (133), Dyser Perez, Sr. (121), Rajohn Rodriguez, Sr. (189), Kayden Morris, Sr. (152), and Gideon Fasanya, Sr. (215).
The Buzz: Commodore boasts a group of seniors and numerous juniors and sophomores who seem capable of filling the void left by graduation for the Cougars, who finished with 11 wins the previous season.

3. The Trinity
Coach: Kyle Shoop
11–5 last year
Important participants include Will Detar, Jr. (123), Noah Albert, Jr. (133), Jordan Manyette, So. (116), and Cam Smith, Fr. (107).
The Buzz: Detar finished as the 2A state runner-up at 114 pounds, and the Trinity team that won 11 duals the previous season is taken over by Shoop. At 107, Manyette returns with a seventh-place state medal.

2. The Hill of Camp
Coach: Chad Gallaher
13–8 last year
Important wrestlers include Asher Minium, Jr. (160), George Miller, Jr. (127), Nick Pistilli, Fr. (127), Noah Doi, Sr. (145), Jack Miller, Sr. (152), Sam Miller, Fr. (120), Foster Wolgenmuth, Fr. (107), and Braxton Wolgenmuth, Sr. (133).
The Buzz: One of the smaller District 3 schools appears to be poised for another strong season. With 117 career wins, Doi is on pace to set the school record after finishing eighth at the state level with 139 last year. Last year, Miller, who is 152 pounds, won a lot of fights in the heavier weight classes.

1. McDevitt, Bishop
Coach: Mike Nauman
Last year: 17–2
Liam Lawler, Jr. (123/127), Camden Baum, Jr. (139/145), Easton Comp, Jr. (145), Braiden Lotier, So. (106), Zane Crouse, So. (116/120), Ryan Lawler, Sr. (152), Nicky Negron, So. (160), Ryan Lengal, Jr. (172), Lucas Lawler, Sr. (215), David Smith, Jr. (285), and Blake Kipp, Jr. (106/113) are some of the main wrestlers.
The Talk:This Crusaders team has a lot of firepower from top to bottom, making them the overwhelming favorite to win the Capital Division again. Eight state qualifiers, two state runners-up (Music and Baum), and two state medalists (Lucas Lawler and Ryan Lawler) are on the roster.

MVP of the Capital Division Preseason
Trinity, Will Detar
Detar, a returning junior with a Northwestern University commitment, was selected as the Capital Division preseason MVP by the majority of the division’s coaches. After winning district gold and regional silver, Detar finished as the runner-up in state 2A at 114 pounds. Detar enters his junior season with a record of 77-7.
