As the 2024–25 season approaches, we’re examining six of them with PennLive’s all-Under the Radar Team. These are the swimmers who have surpassed expectations from the outside looking in, not necessarily the conference’s highest scorers.

This is PennLive’s all-Under the Radar boys swim team for 2024–25.

Covington, Xavier Jr., ChambersburgIn terms of possible deep postseason contention, the wheel can be spun and land on many Trojan swimmers, but don’t be shocked if it ends up landing on Covington. It would be silly to ignore his skill in the 100 back and 100 fly, two events he came close to winning some hardware in at the Mid-Penn championships and District 3 3A meet last year, even though he may not have received an individual District 3 3A medal on Chambersburg’s team title-winning unit.

State College, So., Luke FlickinegerAs a freshman last year, Flickineger made some waves on a Little Lions team that was always in control. He finished fourth in the 100 fly with a time of 56.94, while his 100 free time of 51.81 was good for District 3 3A bronze. He has already had a significant impact for State College’s team as an underclassman, and this season he could also be within striking reach of winning Mid-Penn medals.

Ginter, Daryn Sr., MechanicsburgIn last year’s District 3 3A championships, Ginter finished just off the podium. He placed 10th with his 100 free time of 47.94 and 11th with his 50 free time of 22.01. But Ginter, who holds the school record in two events, will undoubtedly put up a strong fight this winter.

Trinity and Jack Kozlowski, Jr.The Shamrocks should have a strong showing in the PIAA 2A meet at Bucknell this year, like they did last year. However, watch out for Kozlowski, who might make a breakthrough this year for postseason medals in the 100 breast and 100 fly.

Hershey, Gray Oyerly, Jr.Oyerly qualified for the District 3 3A championships last year despite not receiving any postseason hardware, and he has significantly improved since then. As the Trojans aim for yet another deep run in 2024, keep an eye on Oyerly in the 50 and 100 freestyle events.

Will, Cumberland Valley Pesavento, Jr.At the Mid-Penn championships, Pesavento finished ninth in the 100-fly with a time of 56.42, almost earning a medal. However, Pesavento has frequently stepped up for a deep Eagles team during crucial periods, stepping in at different events as needed.
