The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) of the United States has recalled refillable medication bottles.
These bottles’ lids are not kid-resistant, which puts young children at risk of poisoning if they swallow them.
Cabinet Health 4 oz. Medicine Bottles are the subject of the recall that was announced today, per a CPSCpress statement. The ones with plastic covers, in particular.
According to the press release, the plastic lid’s closure may deteriorate with frequent openings, reducing the lid’s child-resistance and increasing the danger of poisoning if young children swallow the contents.
About 65,000 bottles that were sold on cabinethealth.com between March 2023 and July 2024 are affected by the recall.
Below are the medication names, lid colors to which this recall pertains, and date codes:
Those who bought the recalled bottles are strongly encouraged to keep them out of children’s reach and sight. They are also encouraged to request a free replacement by contacting Cabinet Health.
