According to authorities, the guy who shot two kindergarteners before killing himself on Wednesday had a long criminal background in Northern California that spanned decades.

Following Thursday afternoon’s school shooting at a Butte County elementary school with a religious affiliation, authorities were able to identify the shooter. The Feather River Adventist School incident critically injured two boys, ages five and six.

At a press conference, Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea identified the gunman as Glenn Litton, 56. The majority of the conference was devoted to Honea and other law enforcement officials reviewing Litton’s criminal history, which covered more than three decades and several jurisdictions. The majority involved stealing, identity theft, and associated offenses.

According to officials, Litton was best described as homeless with serious mental health problems who had thought about targeting another school.

He claimed that before to the shooting, Litton had made an appointment to speak with the principal of Feather River Adventist School about enrolling his grandson as a student under a fictitious name. According to Honea, the supposedly friendly meeting was a charade.

“It turned out that everything was false,” Honea stated.

Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey stated that after one of Litton’s previous arrests, he was discovered in possession of a phony driver’s license bearing the name Michael Sanders and his picture, along with at least one other pseudonym.

According to Ramsey, we have known Mr. Litton, also called Mr. Williams, for several decades.

According to Honea, Litton was born in Chico and grew up attending Paradise Adventist School.
