Two Pennsylvania high school football powerhouse will compete for a spot in the 6A final game now that nearly every state championship game berth has been secured.

Next Saturday night, Harrisburg and Pittsburgh Central Catholic will square off at Altoona’s Mansion Park. The victor will have the opportunity to play the reigning state champions, St. Joe’s Prep.

FINAL: HARRISBURG 33 PITTSBURGH CENTRAL CATHOLIC 38

3.52 p.m.Pittsburgh Central Catholic will play St. Joe’s Prep in the PIAA 6A state championship game.

3.51 p.m.On third down, Harrisburg is unable to convert. Additionally, Lewis is picked off by Chrys Black on fourth down, which will finish it. What a game, and what a fight the Cougars put up to the very end.

3.50 p.m.With 39 seconds remaining at the 19 for Harrisburg, it’s third-and-three. Drama.

3:47 p.m.Lewis finds Quincy Brannon for 26 yards on 4th-and-18. With fewer than two minutes remaining, the Cougars are down five but still alive and shouting. The ball is on the 26th.
