On Wednesday, Black Sabbath fans had cause to celebrate when the band revealed that it would be reuniting for a farewell performance.
All four members of the legendary rock band will gather on July 5 at Aston Villa for a gig titled Back to the Beginning, with leader Ozzy Osbourne leading the way in his final live performance.
In an X post, Osbourne stated, “It’s time for me to return to the beginning and give back to the place where I was born.”How fortunate I am to have the support of those I care about. The real home of metal is in Birmingham. Forever Birmingham.
This will be the best heavy metal show ever, according to Tom Morello, who is described as the show’s music director.
The major news is that Black Sabbath will be performing again for a last gig, but there will also be an all-star roster, including Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins, Slash, Fred Durst, Lzzy Hale, Sammy Hagar, Zakk Wylde, and Morello.

According to Osbourne’s post, all proceeds will be donated to charity, such as Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Cure Parkinson’s, and Acorn Children’s Hospice & Children’s Hospice, which is funded by Aston Villa.
It’s difficult to dispute that Black Sabbath, one of the most successful metal bands ever, was founded in Birmingham in 1978, according to Osbourne’s statement. According to Black Sabbath, they have sold over 75 million records.
