After illness hit his band in 2024, Neil Young had to postpone his tour dates. However, he is back on the road and is preparing a huge present for his fans.

The renowned rock star revealed that Oceanside Countryside, his missing album, will be available on February 14.

According to a statement from Young, the analog original was recorded in 1977 but never released. These tracks were originally mixed in the sequence I intended for the album when they were recorded.

According to Billboard, the album was first recorded in 1977 between May and December.

Young writes, “I played the instruments and sang the vocals on Oceanside in Florida at Triad Studios and Malibu at Indigo studio.” At Crazy Mama’s in Nashville on Countryside, I recorded and sang the lead vocals with my amazing band of friends, which included Rufus Thibodeaux on the violin, Joe Osbon on bass, Karl T. Himmel on drums, and Ben Keith on steel guitar. Tim Mulligan recorded this Analog Original recording, which I hope you love as much as I do. As I listen to it now, I believe I ought to have released it sooner.

Billboard.com has more information about the album, including a list of the tracks.

Last June, Young and his band Crazy Horse were forced to postpone their Love Earth Your show.

In August, he clarified that further in a Zoom conference with fans.

He allegedly said, “I was doing great, and we were moving along.” The shows were a hit with everyone. I exclaimed, “I can’t do this,” as soon as I woke up one morning on the bus. I must quit. The idea of taking the stage made me feel nauseous.
