Perhaps most known for their tenure in Soundgarden, Kim Tayil, Matt Cameron, and Ben Shepherd are reassembling the band.

But this time, they won’t be using Soundgarden. Rather, they will get back together under a different moniker that the band formerly went by: Nudedragons. There will be a twist as well. The group’s new frontwoman will be Shaina Shepherd, as frontman Chris Cornell passed away tragically in 2017.

And on December 14, they will come together for a worthy cause by performing at the SMooCH benefit for Seattle Children’s Hospital.

According to a post on the band’s Instagram page, Nudedragons will be making their stage comeback at the Showbox for the first time in almost 14 years.

Additionally, it mentioned that this was only a quick encore performance.

On the post titled “The honor of my life,” Shepherd left a comment.

Since Cornell’s passing, Soundgarden has only given a few performances, according to Loudwire. The website also mentioned that The Pretty Reckless During such performances, Taylor Momsen and Brandi Carlisle have both contributed vocals to the band.

Founded in 1984, Soundgarden is most known for its hits, Spoonman and Black Hole Sun. The band has previously played as Nudedragons in 2010.
