The renowned blues and rock keyboardist Barry Goldberg passed away.

He was eighty-three.

He battled non-Hodgkin lymphoma before passing away on Wednesday, according to Rolling Stone.

According to PEOPLE Magazine, Goldberg accumulated credentials for composing, producing, and performing with musicians like Steve Miller, Rod Stewart, Leonard Cohen, the Ramones, and Stephen Stills.

According to the Steve Miller Band X account, Barry Goldberg was a lifelong buddy, a talented pianist, and a smart songwriter.He played a significant role in Chicago’s blues renaissance in the middle of the 1960s, and we performed together as the Goldberg-Miller Blues Band in 1965. Barry, you had a wonderful musical journey. Rest in peace.

Additionally, he is well-known for playing keyboard with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, which supported Bob Dylan at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.

In addition, Goldberg was one of the original members of Electric Flag.

According to the Rolling Stone, Goldberg started going to nightclubs as a teenager and was mentored by musicians like Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, Howlin Wolf, and Muddy Waters.
