Lane limitations for asphalt pavement repairs are scheduled for Saturday on southbound Interstate 81 near Carlisle in Cumberland County, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).
On December 14, if the weather permits, southbound I-81 from Exit 52 (Route 11) to Exit 48 (Route 74/York Road) will have right-lane restrictions from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
When driving through the work zone, drivers should be attentive and cautious.
This work is part of a 12.85-mile resurfacing project on Interstate 81 from Route 15/Enola in East Pennsboro Township to Route 581/Lambs Gap Road in Hampden Township. The project includes milling, base replacement, concrete pavement patching, minor drainage, ADA ramps, paving, traffic counter site repair, and other miscellaneous construction.
The $24.5 million project’s main contractor is New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc. of New Enterprise, Pennsylvania.
