With a perfect 8-0 start in league play, Houston has found its rhythm since the Big 12 Conference season began, extending its winning streak to 12 games. In their most recent game, the Cougars defeated No. 12 Kansas (92-86) on the road in two overtimes, maybe their biggest victory of the season. In his 46 minutes of play, J Wan Roberts topped all scorers with 24 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.
West Virginia lost consecutive games to Arizona State (65-57) and Kansas State (73-60) to tumble out of the national rankings after leaping into the top spot with a 64-57 victory over then-No. 2 Iowa State. By slowing down the game and limiting WVU to just 43 shot attempts, the Mountaineers now have a chance to make amends against the Cougars, who won their first meeting in Houston (70–54).
The Cougars vs. Mountaineers game will begin at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+, which costs $11.99 a month.
