In season five, episode six of The Fight for Life, McCall and Mel go undercover in a jail to track down a woman who vanished on the day she was supposed to be freed.
Queen Latifah begins the series as Robyn McCall, a mysterious woman with a shadowy past who uses her vast experience as a former CIA agent to assist folks who have nowhere else to turn. Most people see McCall as a typical single mother parenting her teenage daughter in silence. To a select few, however, she is The Equalizer—an unnamed angel of protection and support for the oppressed who is relentless in her quest for personal atonement.
