With 35-point performances from Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, who combined to make 30 of their 45 shots, Milwaukee increased to 26-18 on the season and won for the sixth time in seven games. In the victory, Antetokounmpo also contributed 18 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.
The Trail Blazers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder, who lead the Western Conference, 118-108 on Sunday after winning four straight, including three away games. After giving OKC a 66-53 halftime lead, Portland attempted to rally late in the game, but their attempt was unsuccessful even though they made 18 of 40 3-point attempts.
