The Wildcats are off the road following back-to-back ranked games against No. 11 Texas A&M and No. 4 Alabama (Jan. 18), having split SEC meetings with Georgia (losing 82-69) and Mississippi State (winning 95-90). Kentucky, one of seven teams with a 2-1 conference record going into Tuesday’s game, is one of the top title candidates in the deep, open SEC.
The Aggies are also in that group, trailing the top three teams in the SEC—Auburn, Alabama, and Ole Miss—at 3-0. After defeating Texas (80-60) and No. 17 Oklahoma (80-78) to start SEC play, Texas A&M lost to No. 4 Alabama (94-88) at home. A nine-game winning streak with three ranking wins was ended with the loss to the Crimson Tide.
