After dropping consecutive games to unranked Vanderbilt (74-69) and No. 4 Alabama (102-97), Kentucky is looking to halt the bleeding. The Wildcats are now 2-3 over their last five games and 4-4 over their last eight. Despite playing in the tough Southeastern Conference, the squad still has a good chance of making it to the NCAA Tournament, but they could use a rebounding performance in Knoxville.
In SEC play, Tennessee has seen a similar run of difficult games, losing three of its last six games, including one against the same Vanderbilt squad. The Vols lost to No. 1 Auburn 53-51 on the road in their most recent game. The Tigers wrapped down the game with a dagger 3-pointer from Miles Kelly with 30 seconds left after a defensive fight.
