Elandon Roberts, a linebacker with the Pittsburgh Steelers, stated that he intends to sign a new contract with the organization this offseason and eventually retire with them. In an interview with 93.7 the Fan, Elandon Roberts stated that he would never want to leave the Steelers.

“I plan on staying in Pittsburgh for the rest of my career,” Roberts stated.

After agreeing to a two-year deal in 2023, Roberts has continued to play. Last season, when injuries struck hard and Cole Holcomb and Kwon Alexander were sidelined for the season due to severe injuries, he managed to keep a patchwork linebacker room together.

Roberts had previously played for the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots. Being one of the few players on the team to win a Super Bowl, he has established a winning culture in Pittsburgh’s locker room. He is a two-time Super Bowl champion from his time in New England.

Payton Wilson was selected by the Steelers in the hopes that the rookie would soon establish himself as a key member of the club. Roberts will be available for free this offseason. Wilson has performed admirably, but Roberts is the team’s main run-stopper, and it appears the Steelers will want to have him return.
