Over Thanksgiving weekend, actor and Broadway star Jonathan Groff made his way back to central Pennsylvania, where he attended a show.
Groff, a Lancaster County resident, went to the Prima Theatre in Lancaster to see the Illumination Christmas concert.
A press release from Prima Theatre claims that Groff, who is friends with Cody Smith, the concert’s director, said the show was “exquisite.”
According to the press release, Groff remarked, “The theater, the singers, the musicians, the costumes, the choreography—it’s all so beautifully done.”
Groff’s most well-known roles include voice acting as Kristoff in Disney’s Frozen series and garnering Tony Awards for his Broadway work in musicals including Spring Awakening, Hamilton, and Merrily We Roll Along.

In addition, he has starred in movies like The Matrix Resurrections and Knock at the Cabin, as well as television shows like Mindhunter and Glee.
Prior to the performance, Groff and Smith also went to The Belvedere restaurant. After the show, Groff lingered to greet the Illumination cast and crew and to take pictures with fans.
