Eric Ebron, a former tight end for the Pittsburgh Steelers, declared on Instagram that he was retiring from the NFL. The 31-year-old last played for the Steelers in the NFL in 2021.
A career is just that—a career! I’m pleased with myself! I am grateful to everyone I have met along the way.#Retired. “Said Ebron.”
For Ebron, it marks the conclusion of an intense NFL career. Ebron, a former Detroit Lions first-round choice out of North Carolina, had drop problems all of his career but had successful seasons with the Steelers and Indianapolis Colts after leaving Detroit.
Ebron will have 3837 receiving yards and 33 touchdowns overall at the end of his career. For eight seasons, he was an NFL player, which is no career to laugh at. After the 2021 season, Pat Freiermuth was drafted by the Steelers and let to walk. Due to the lack of interest he received on the open market, he has decided to end his career.
