Kenny Pickettis, a former quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, is traveling to the Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles. As the Eagles’ backup quarterback, Pickett makes his first trip to the Super Bowl following a 55-23 thumping of the Washington Commanders.
He entered the game late to assist seal the victory, which was driven by Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley’s outstanding performances. In addition, the Eagles defense committed four turnovers, which helped the club reach a record-breaking performance.
After dominating at Pitt, Pickett was Pittsburgh’s main starter for two seasons. When he was dealt to Philadelphia for draft picks in March, his tenure with the Steelers came to an end. As a result, Justin Fields started six games for the Steelers and was Russell Wilson’s backup for the remainder of the season.
Fred Johnson, a former offensive tackle for the Steelers, will also be traveling to the Super Bowl with Pickett. In New Orleans, the Eagles will play the Buffalo Bills or the Kansas City Chiefs for the Lombardi Trophy.
