After being hospitalized for an accident on his scooter on Thanksgiving, former Who’s the Boss child star Danny Pintauro has a powerful message for his followers this holiday season.
The sitcom star Pintauro, who portrayed Jonathan Bower, posted a video slideshow of himself in the hospital on Instagram. The former child star told his fans that he had emergency surgery to fix a stomach tear. He sustained the injuries that evening while riding his scooter when cones unexpectedly blocked the bike lane he was in.
The post stated that I had to decide between a pylon and a vehicle. The pylons were painful! I had a horrible scrape on my arm, and I thought I might have broken it. I didn’t worry as much because it was much better the following morning.
But he started having strange chest pains on Saturday, November 30. The celebrity claimed he could hardly breathe due to the excruciating discomfort that eventually traveled to his shoulder and stomach muscles.
After a few tests, it was determined that Pintauro’s accident had resulted in a rip in his stomach lining, which in turn had created an infection in his bloodstream. His husband, Will Tabares, then transported him to the hospital. Air, gastric acid, and other substances were leaking into his abdomen as a result.
Consequently, the condition required emergency surgery last night to fix the tear, which Pintauro described as the most terrible pain he had ever experienced in his life on Sunday.
“I’m still really sore, but the surgery went well and now that it’s fixed, the pain is pretty much gone,” he remarked. They just removed the intubation tube, but in order to protect the stitches and repairs they made, I must maintain removing the acids in my stomach for three days. This implies that for the next three days, I won’t be eating or drinking anything.
Pintauro acknowledged that things might have turned out quite differently if he hadn’t undergone the emergency surgery, saying, “I could have died if I had waited any longer.” Additionally, he emphasized to supporters the value of paying attention to their bodies, stating that it was they who informed him that something was really amiss.
Pintauro went on to express gratitude to his husband for sticking by him during the trauma and to the medical staff at Memorial treatment Miller Hospital for their treatment.
I will adjust the shipment dates to reflect this, but regrettably, it means that any Book Nooks I was working on will have to wait a few more days. I hope that’s alright. Even though this is my first major surgery—and my first emergency surgery—I managed to remain composed. It was utterly horrifying.
I wouldn’t object if someone wanted to send me flowers, he added. Just kidding, lol. I’m tired, in pain, hungry, and stressed. Please light a candle for me. Oh! My arm was X-rayed, and it is not fractured! Thus, there is one positive aspect.
