Jeff Haste, a former Dauphin County Commissioner who has been embroiled in numerous conflicts of interest scandals, is no longer the county’s Republican committee’s second-in-command.
David Feidt, who chairs the committee, informed its members by email on Thursday that Haste had resigned as first vice chair before the holidays. Feidt did not specify Haste’s exact resignation date or reason. At a meeting on January 25, the committee will elect Haste’s replacement.
