Blankenship need help getting off the field because he was sluggish to stand. After being assessed in the blue medical tent, he made his way to the locker room and was declared out for the rest of the match. Blankenship recorded four tackles prior to his departure.
Due to his continued participation in the concussion protocol, starting cornerback Darius Slay was already out for the Eagles. The Eagles looked to safety Tristan McCollum after Blankenship was sidelined. Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio gave an explanation on Wednesday for selecting McCollum over safety Sydney Brown, pointing out that McCollum had a better grasp of the plan.
Additionally, if the Ravens increase their passing attempts as the game goes on, the Eagles can utilize Avonte Maddox at safety. If the Ravens use Agholor often in three-receiver sets, Maddox, who has experience at nickel cornerback and safety, might face him.
