Mechanicsburg’s 607 E. Simpson St. restaurant posted on Facebook that it was closing for renovations.

Mechanicsburg’s Dairy Queen is undergoing renovations! The notification states that we anticipate opening by the middle of February.

The Dairy Queen is seeking crew members, the message continues. (Interested parties may apply online.)

Customers can visit neighboring Dairy Queen locations at 110 Old York Road in Fairview Township and the Capital City Mall in Lower Allen Township while repairs are underway.

In 20 countries, Dairy Queen runs over 7,500 locations. Since the original one opened in 1940, it has been in operation for 85 years.
