The final weekend of the regular season for the 2024 college football season has arrived. Texas vs. Texas A&M, Ohio State vs. Michigan, Notre Dame vs. USC, and, of course, Penn State vs. Maryland are just a few of the exciting contests. Let’s make some selections, then.

We did well last week, going 2-3 against the spread on our big board selections. Miss was our best wager. Miami covered the overall spread but not the first-quarter spread.

Over the course of eight weeks, we are 1-3 on best bets and 27-31-1 on our regular choices ATS. To get above, there is still some work to be done.500 for the season.

My selections for Week 14 are as follows. Tail (or fade) responsibly as usual.

(FanDuelSportsbook provided all odds as of Wednesday afternoon.)

Ohio State at No. 2 Michigan (-20.5)

At noon on Saturday, FOX

Michigan is terrible, and Ohio State just thrashed Indiana. I am aware that it is The Game. The Buckeyes, however, have been far superior. There’s no reason to change your mind. The selection: -20.5 Ohio State

Miami (-10.5) at Syracuse, No. 6

ESPN, Saturday, 3:30 p.m.

All season long, Miami has been on the verge of catastrophe. The Hurricanes now have to contend with a Syracuse offense that can stay competitive and the dome. I believe that the Orange can make this one uncomfortable, provided that Kyle McCord doesn’t throw a couple pick-sixes.The selection is Syracuse +10.5.

Notre Dame, No. 6 (-7.5), at USC

At 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, CBS

Notre Dame has won nine straight games by double digits, demonstrating their dominance. That streak, I believe, ends. USC is not as strong a candidate for CFP as some had assumed. However, the Trojans have athletes on par with the Army and Navy. To qualify for the CFP, Notre Dame only needs to win, not style points. The selection: USC +7.5

Penn State at No. 4 Maryland (-24.5)

3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Big Ten Network

With the exception of the erratic 2020 campaign, Penn State has won by an average of 40 points in its previous six encounters with Maryland. The Terps’ former head coach-in-waiting, James Franklin, has always applied pressure when playing Maryland.Penn State -24.5 is the choice.

Texas A&M, No. 20, at No. 3 Texas (-5.5).

At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, ABC

Due to an ankle problem, Quinn Ewers hasn’t looked well. Additionally, the Longhorns fell to Georgia the last time he faced a defense as strong as Texas A&M’s. I anticipate that this rivalry game will be competitive thanks to the Aggies’ top edge rushers, especially Nic Scourton. The selection is Texas A&M +5.5.

THE BEST CHOICE

Indiana at No. 10 against Purdue (-29.5)

FS1 on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Indiana just lost to Ohio State, and Purdue is the weakest team in the power leagues. Curt Cignetti, the team’s rookie coach, has taught us that he is all gas and no brakes and enjoys running up on teams. I anticipate that the Hoosiers will be furious and make it clear that they belong in the CFP in a rivalry game. The selection is Indiana -29.5.
