Marcus Haynes, a former pass rusher for the Pittsburgh Steelers, has signed a reserve/future deal with the Cleveland Browns, the team announced Monday. When Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig were battling with injuries, Haynes was on the practice squad and with the Steelers during training camp spurts.
Haynes spent the spring and summer with the Cleveland Browns prior to joining the Steelers, so it is not shocking that he will be returning to Cleveland for another offseason.
Haynes, a 2023 NFL Draft undrafted free agency from Old Dominion, has traveled throughout the league during his first season. After graduating from college, he joined the Denver Broncos and spent the majority of 2023 on their practice squad. He has since played for the Steelers, Browns, and Houston Texans. If Haynes is unable to secure a regular position in the NFL, he is also signed with the UFL’s San Antonio Brahmas.
