Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Craig Young and defensive tackle Domenique Davis have joined the Cincinnati Bengals. Given that the Steelers will be playing the Bengals in around a week and a half, both players had time on the team’s practice squad this season and can be useful scouts.
Both Young and Davis had brief stints with the Steelers before being cut and not re-signed as the team either recovered or sustained injuries elsewhere.
In addition to playing for the New York Jets, who signed him as an undrafted free agent in the 2020 NFL Draft, Davis initially joined the Bengals in 2022.
During his time at UNC Pembroke, Davis excelled and garnered enough recognition to gain access to an NFL training camp. Davis, who is 6′ 2″ and 326 pounds, can play both up and down the defensive line. The only statistic he has recorded in his four years in the NFL is three total tackles.
After going undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft, Young, a former linebacker for Kansas and Ohio State, spent the summer with the Indianapolis Colts. The 23-year-old product of Fort Wayne, Indiana, has not yet participated in an NFL game.
