Domenique Davis, a former defensive tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers, has been added to the Cincinnati Bengals’ active roster for this game from their practice squad. Davis will give the Steelers a different look than previous players because they won’t have inside defensive lineman Sheldon Rankins or defensive end Sam Hubbard.
A month ago, Davis was released by the Steelers and signed by the Bengals. After Montravius Adams suffered a torn meniscus, Davis was on the Steelers’ practice squad for more than six weeks.
In addition to playing for the New York Jets, who signed him as an undrafted free agent in the 2020 NFL Draft, Davis initially joined the Bengals in 2022.
During his time at UNC Pembroke, Davis excelled and garnered enough recognition to gain access to an NFL training camp. Davis, who is 6′ 2″ and 326 pounds, can play both up and down the defensive line. The only statistic he has recorded in his four years in the NFL is three total tackles.
