The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Las Vegas Raiders on Black Friday in Week 13 of the NFL season. The Chiefs are 10-1 and just defeated the Carolina Panthers 30-27 on a last-second field goal, while the Raiders are 2-9 and have dropped seven straight games.
Here, I’ll look at the game’s two plotlines, analyze the odds, give a prediction, and more.
The Raiders Are a Disaster
There’s really no other way to describe how awful the Raiders’ season has been.
They dismissed every member of their offensive coaching staff. Last week, Gardner Minshew, the quarterback, shattered his collarbone. With an average of just over 75 rushing yards per game—the lowest in the NFL—three quarterbacks have played for the team.
They now face a Chiefs defense that gives up only 2155 passing yards (18th), 19.8 points (9th), 85.3 rushing yards (3rd), and 300.8 total yards (fourth) per game.
The Raiders should theoretically be able to defeat the Chiefs, but I’m not sure how well they’re passing the ball now that they’re depending on Aidan O Connell, who’s recovering from a thumb injury.
O Connell has only averaged 178.2 throwing yards per game over his career.
They will have a difficult time winning another game this season.
Raiders vs. Chiefs odds
The Chiefs are 10-1 and the Raiders are 2-9. In the AFC West, these teams are ranked first and bottom, respectively.
The Chiefs are 4-6-1 and the Raiders are 4-7 against the spread.
The Chiefs will prevail in the game, but by how much is up for debate. This season, their only double-digit victory is this one.

Can The Chiefs Deliver A Statement Win?
This season, the Chiefs are 10-1, but their victories haven’t been very impressive.
As previously stated, they have only won one game by double digits, a 26–13 victory over the New Orleans Saints at home, and are 4-6-1 against the spread.
Their offensive has played a significant role in that.
They rank 10th with 24.5 points, 14th with 342.7 total yards, 18th with 116.3 running yards, and 12th with 226.5 passing yards per game.
They have a chance to win by ten points again against the Raiders. They did, however, defeat the Raiders on the road earlier this season by a slim margin of seven, 27–20.
Minshew recorded two touchdowns while playing behind center in this game.
It’s against O Connell, who is recovering from an injury, this time.
This is where the Chiefs make a statement on Black Friday, especially after a close game against the Panthers.

Chiefs vs. Raiders prediction
The Chiefs’ record against the spread, their lack of double-digit score victories, and the fact that the spread is 12.5 points are the only reasons you’re betting on the Raiders here.
With quarterback Patrick Mahomes tossing three touchdowns in consecutive games and the Chiefs’ potent defense this season, there are many reasons to support the Chiefs in this matchup.
I anticipate that the Chiefs will put a stop to the Raiders’ already nonexistent run game and make it difficult for O Connell to pass the ball in Arrowhead.
This game will be won 27–13 by the Chiefs.
