Following their victory over the Houston Texans, the Kansas City Chiefs are coping with a number of injuries. Three days after losing to the Baltimore Ravens, the Pittsburgh Steelers play the Chiefs, but they might not have to face starter right tackle Jawaan Taylor or standout pass rusher Chris Jones.
Following the game, head coach Andy Reid stated that Tayloris was battling with a strained knee and Jones had a strained calf. Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback, is still dealing with a high ankle injury.
If Jones is unable to play, the Chiefs have Tershawn Warton and Charles Omenihu on the defensive line to try to fill in. In Taylor’s absence, Wanya Morris will go to right tackle and play there, while Joe Thuney will remain at left tackle.
The Steelers have a lot of ailments, of course, but those two injuries might leave the Chiefs with huge voids in their roster that Pittsburgh could try to take advantage of in what is still a must-win game for them to determine their fate in the division.
