On X, formerly Twitter, the standout CD East wide receiver declared his commitment to play collegiate football at Long Island University, an FCS program.
I’m happy to say that I’ve committed to Long Island University!Youngtweeted by @CoachGettis@LanceDeane@SportsByBLinder@EdOBrienCFB@dan_sostek@PRZPAvic.
After a season with 1000 yards, Young was selected to the Mid-Penn Commonwealth first team and was one of the best receivers in the MPC this fall.
He is pleased with his decision to attend LIU.
Everything I needed was there. Good size and diversity-focused, Young stated. Suitable for my family as well. Not too close, but not too far. An excellent balance.
Young believed that LIU was the ideal place to be, but he was also thinking about Robert Morris.
He claims he is prepared to compete for a position and anticipates playing wide receiver and special teams.
Young declared, “I intend to beat the guys in front of me when I get to campus.” I’m thrilled to be entering a dog-eat-dog industry.
This week, after years of dreaming, Young will finally sign and make his pledge real.
“I am incredibly fortunate,” Young remarked. I have dreamed of this and set this as a goal when I was little. This is only the beginning of what I hope to accomplish.
