Next fall, he hopes to do the same at Gettysburg College on Lincoln Avenue.

On X, formerly Twitter, the Camp Hill standout quarterback declared his commitment to the Bullets on Saturday.

Following a fantastic conversation with @CoachTurch, I’m pleased to declare my commitment to Gettysburg College. I would like to express my gratitude to my family, coaches, and teammates.@Camphillfb@CoachBPerkins@GburgFB@_CallMeCoachK_, @Coach_JLynch@chadshenne@timbigelow, Branstetter tweeted.

In addition to leading Camp Hill to a District 3 championship and a trip to the state quarterfinals in 2023, Branstetter just finished as the Mid-Penn Capital co-player of the year.

He had 101 touchdowns, 689 rushing yards, and 8357 passing yards at the end of his career with the Lions.

“I felt a really great connection with the coaches and players from the beginning, so I committed to Gettysburg,” Branstetter said. I always felt welcomed and that being on campus was the appropriate thing to do.

Additionally, Gettysburg offers the best education available. Every time I arrived on campus, I felt at home.

He will play for the Bullets alongside Kobe Moore, a former teammate from Camp Hill.

“It is comforting to know that I will be attending a university where one of my closest friends attends,” Branstetter remarked. Having played together since the beginning, back in the days of Good Shepherd, also helps. He undoubtedly influenced my decision.

Kobe was there, doing everything he could to persuade me. Yes, it did work.

Branstetter is prepared to assist Gettysburg in any way he can in order to win a Centennial championship, but he has no expectations or guarantees regarding playing time.

Branstetter expressed his excitement about the new opportunity and the results of his hard work. Nevertheless, I will continue to put in a great deal of effort to improve my game in order to advance.
