With the lead over Lampeter-Strasburg at 40-14, the Friars senior didn’t sit back and enjoy his outstanding performance. He put a bow on B-P’s first state victory in program history by rushing downhill and making a tackle-for-loss deep in the red zone.

The group’s transition into the state’s class over the past four years has been facilitated by B-P and Johnson’s unwavering attitude.

Johnson stated, “I knew that if we worked hard and followed the coaches’ instructions every day, we would eventually pull up and pull out of here with something.” We will reach the last objective.

Throughout the victory over Lampeter-Strasburg, Johnson, a 5-foot-9, 175-pound back, rushed for 111 yards and four touchdowns.

According to Johnson, “I wasn’t really thinking about [my numbers].” All I wanted was to [do] well for my fellow seniors, those young men, and those individuals over there.

All I wanted was for everyone to share in this experience. I am aware that they have been really humble and have worked very hard for this. And I was aware that we needed to exhibit something out here.

Johnson, who hasn’t committed yet, wasn’t even certain that they would reach this stage. And it feels as though a lot of the pressure has been released as any happiness.

Johnson described the sensation as a relief. I’m simply glad that we came out here and completed this since there have been many times when I thought the labor wouldn’t be worthwhile.
