In a PIAA Class 2A duals tournament match Tuesday night, Bishop McDevitt’s wrestling team defeated Hughesville 53-13, ending a nine-match winning streak after losing three of their first four games.

McDevitt was behind 13-6, which was thought to be its biggest duals disadvantage of the year, and Lucas Lawler (215) was his only victory after four games.

Braiden Lotier, who weighs 107 pounds, started the Crusaders’ run of nine consecutive victories. Before Blake Klipp (114) gave BM a technical fall and the lead for good, he pinned in :25.

On Friday night in Altoona, Bishop McDevitt (19-0) will play Cathedral Prep, the District 10 champion, in the quarterfinals.
