Penn State discovered the specifics of their 2025 schedule as it continues to assault the transfer portal, complete its class of 2025 recruiting, and get ready for a run at the College Football Playoffs.

Since the Big Ten announced conference opponents through 2028 in October 2023, the Nittany Lions have been aware of their opponents for some time. On the other hand, Big Ten Network announced the 2025 opponent order on Wednesday.

The Big Ten hinted to a crucial aspect of Penn State’s schedule for the upcoming season—a Week 5 rematch with the Ducks scheduled for September 27—ahead of the team’s Big Ten Championship loss to Oregon. That game, which takes place at Beaver Stadium, ought to be given first priority for the yearly White Out.

In Week 5, the Nittany Lions will also travel to play Ohio State, their greatest test. The weekend of November 1st will be that time.

Traditionally saved for rivalry week in the last week of the regular season, the Land-Grant Trophy matchup between Penn State and Michigan State will return this season in Week 12. In 2024, the teams didn’t play.

Notably, Penn State will play UCLA in Los Angeles for the second consecutive year. However, the Nittany Lions will play a home game versus Northwestern on the other side of the trip, so they won’t have a bye week.

Penn State’s schedule is extremely challenging because the Lions will play Indiana, Ohio State, and Oregon—all of which are 2024 Big Ten teams that qualified for the CFP.

The following dates and weeks are merely estimates because the Big Ten may extend their games to Friday or Thursday.
