On November 29, Wayne Northrop, who starred in television shows like Dynasty and Days of Our Lives, passed away. He was seventy-seven.

According to Deadline, Northrop died after a protracted battle with Alzheimer’s.

According to a statement from Lynn, Northrop’s wife, Wayne was given an early onset Alzheimer’s diagnosis six years prior. In his family’s embrace, he breathed his final breath.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Northrop portrayed Detective Roman Brady in over 1000 Days of Our Lives episodes. Between 1981 and 1984, he made frequent appearances on the show, and from 1991 until 1994, he reprised his role. Later, in 2005–2006, he played Dr. Alex North.

Rex Stanton in the television series Port Charles and Michael Culhane, the chauffeur on the first and seventh seasons of Dynasty, were two other noteworthy roles.

Northrop was born on April 12, 1947, in Sumner, Washington. After graduating from the University of Washington, he went on to study acting at Seattle Community College.

He appeared in numerous more television shows, such as Cold Case, L.A. Law, and The Waltons.

Wayne is survived by his stepmother Janet Northrop, kids Hank and Grady, and wife Lynn.
