At 10:17 p.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service issued a bulletin predicting significant snowfall in Northern Centre and Clearfield County through 10:45 p.m.
According to the meteorological service, “at 10:17 p.m., an area of heavy snow was near Clearfield moving southeast at 30 MPH.”
The warning is for This region of dense snow will continue to cover primarily rural parts of eastern Clearfield and central Northern Center counties. This covers the region between the Penfield and Milesburg exits, or more precisely, mile markers 113 to 152, for drivers on Interstate 80.
“If you must travel into or through this area of heavy snow, exercise extra caution,” the weather agency advises. Accidents may result from abrupt changes in visibility and perhaps slick roads.
