Using X, Dave Portnoy, the creator of the well-known social media platform Barstool Sports, shared some depressing news.

Portnoy disclosed the death of Iga Obrycka, a close colleague, in a post on January 30. Obryacka’s Instagram bio states that she was the general manager of Barstool Nashville and the chief marketing manager of Barstool Sports and Stanton & Bowery Hospitality.

The letter clarified that Obrycka would be much missed and that she was frequently spotted in Nashville. Obrycka was twenty-eight.

Portnoy posted more depressing news about the Barstool family. This week, Iga Obrycka unexpectedly passed away. Iga essentially oversaw our bar group. You most likely saw her at Barstool Nashville if you’ve ever been there. She was so intelligent and motivated that I would have given her any job she desired at our organization.

Portnoy went on to emphasize the importance of not taking life for granted.

Portnoy remarked, “Just very sad news and another cruel reminder not to take a minute for granted.” Iga, rest in peace.

Her obituary states that the Poland born died on January 29 in Nashville. It is unknown what caused her death. On Obrycka’s most recent Instagram post, hundreds of people commented on how heartbroken they were to lose her.

One user commented, “Iga, you will be sincerely missed. Sometimes God works in mysterious ways.”

“So heartbreaking,” said another. Rest in peace and beauty. I’m praying for your loved ones and family.

According to her obituary, Obrycka will be known for much more than only her impact.

According to the obituary, she will be remembered for her innumerable acts of generosity and for lending a helping hand to those in need. She poured goodness into everyone she encountered. She left behind a legacy of honesty, selflessness, and unflinching devotion to the people she served.
