The Pittsburgh Steelers’ game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas will be called by Ian Eagle, J.J. Watt, and Nate Burleson. Eagle, the number two play-by-play man at CBS, has called four Steelers games this season with his regular partner, Charles Davis. The game will be streamed on Netflix, and they put together fresh announcing crews who had not before collaborated.
Watt, however, has spent the majority of gamedays in the CBS studio and has never been required to color commentate a game. Watt, who often works as an analyst on NFL Today, was present at the Steelers’ game against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Burleson is best known for hosting CBS Mornings, but he has also served as a color analyst for NFL and collegiate games. Similar to Watt, he began his career as an analyst on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football and now works as a studio commentator for CBS on Sundays.
The studio series that will be available on Netflix will also feature a wide range of talent. The host will be Kay Adams, while the analysts will be Robert Griffin III, Mina Jimes, Drew Brees, and Manti Te o.
