Penn State’s fireworks continue, this time in the 2026 class.

Jerquaden Guilford, a three-star wide receiver from Fort Wayne, Indiana’s Northrop High School, committed to Penn State on Friday. The promise was made around an hour after Andrew Olesh, a tight end and No. 1 2025 Pennsylvania prospect, made a huge commitment to Penn State.

Currently regarded as the fourth-best player in Indiana and the 105th-best receiver in the 2026 class, Guilford has made two trips to Penn State. He returned for the Maryland game at the end of the regular season after attending a camp in Happy Valley in July, when he received his official offer.

However, if you look over his list of offers, Guilford can become a hidden treasure. He has offers from Ohio State, Georgia, and Tennessee, among other Power Four universities.

Marques Hagans, the wide receivers coach at Penn State, has responded to the outside pressure on the position’s performance by focusing on receiving prospects frequently. In the early stages of the 2026 cycle, Penn State now has three promising pledges, having signed four in the 2025 class. Three-starOver the summer, Maryland’s Lavar Keys and Delaware’s Jahsiear Rogers made their commitments.

There are currently eight prospects in the Nittany Lions 2026 group. Prior to Guilford’s pledge, Penn State was ranked third nationally, but it is still early in the process. Two Harrisburg standouts, offensive tackle Kevin Brown (ranked #1 in Pennsylvania) and Messiah Mickens (ranked #4), are the class’s main attractions.
